In autumn 2016, TNI together with Platform London organised a 6-week pilot online peer learning course on energy democracy. The course included video interviews with experts and practitioners, presentations and discussion in weekly webinars, online discussion and reflection tasks. All the interviews, webinars and resource materials are now archived here for permanent use.
In the first session, we explored why we need to decolonise our thinking and practices around energy in order to build a just energy future.
In the second session, we explored how community and co-operative energy can empower people to drive and build a just energy transition.
In the third session, we explored municipal and state control over energy and how local and national governments can advance the energy transition.
In the fourth session, we explored how worker organising and trade unions, in different places, can ensure that the energy transition creates good jobs.
